do you play games in fullscreen or windowed mode
boost for sample size please?
@pearl@fedi.rrr.sh actual fullscreen has issues with alt tab on windows and linux in my experience
@pearl@fedi.rrr.sh depending on the game and avalable settings it's either fullscreen or borderless
if a game takes a while to tab out of for whatever reason it's borderless all the way, if the game can't mute when unfocused i definitely take fullscreen
otherwise it's up to the situation and lesser factors
@pearl@fedi.rrr.sh depends on the game. a bunch of them just dont work in fullscreen (developers don't test with 32:9, I've had games literally sofflock as a result) or depending on how casually I'm playing then, I may not want the full immersion. so I'll play often in like 2/3rds (≈ 21:9) or just 16:9. some games really hate weird resolutions, in which case I'll play them in gamescope at fake 2560x1440 with a window size to match. but I also play in fullscreen for the Immersion Factor, whenever I'm doing just controller-based stuff (like steam big picture mode and launching games from that), etc. so I guess it's mostly windowed for a variety of technical reasons, but also not-so-rarely in fullscreen
@pearl uhhhhhhhh
both, and it depends on the game
stardew valley and kitsune tails: fullscreen
minecraft: windowed
@pearl@fedi.rrr.sh most games full screen, however Minecraft only in windowed
@pearl@fedi.rrr.sh depends a lot - e.g. game boy games are often nicer windowed, simply because they are low resolution while I have a huge screen
@pearl What does borderless windowed count as?
@pearl@fedi.rrr.sh where's my borderless fullscreen enjoyers
