starting to hold the firm opinion that if you don't own the tools you're using to make something, the corporation that does will fuck you over eventually
hey had a question for anyone who did beta testing back in 1999-2001 for whistler officially (as in you were registered with MS), does anyone remember how they used to submit feedback, and **especially more importantly how well it was responded to?**
#Windows #WindowsXP #WindowsInsiders #windev #windowsbeta #beta #windows7 #windowsvista
(crossposted on bluesky and birdsite, hashtags are just to get as many people reading this as possible, i want to hear how Microsoft handled feedback in the late 90s, early to mid 2000s)
anyone who beta tested during vista and windows 7 development cycles are also very welcome to respond!
Here's the real question about the new unity pricing:
This last week I've been injecting code at runtime into a running unity game. I'm technically never launching MY game, just some other game that I'm now controlling.
How much do I owe? Does unity owe me some money? Do I owe money to both unity and the game's developer?
by the way in case you’re a trans person and you think you had a “nazi phase”, saying a couple slurs when you were a dumb kid (<14 years old) does not constitute as a “nazi phase” even remotely.
i can assure you, actual nazis do significantly worse and terrible things.
