So, I often see "not everyone wants to use the command line" as an argument against Linux. Thing is, I don't really view it as a valid argument anymore. Almost everything can be done from a GUI, and the things that can't, well, you probably couldn't do those from a GUI on Windows/MacOS either.
Like, if you go with a user-friendly distro like Fedora, Ubuntu, or Mint, you probably don't even need to touch the terminal at all. Like, don't go with Arch if you don't want to really learn how the system is built.
Yes, you may come across issues. Ones that people will suggest doing stuff in the terminal for. Usually they do so because they assume the audience is also technically inclined and it's easier to just share a couple commands than to explain what to press in various menues in apps you may not even have on your system because different DEs come with different default apps.
But, like, everyone who's used a computer has had to learn it at some point. And learning Linux, just like learning Windows, takes some time.
I think the argument that you need to use a terminal to use Linux is invalid. Just say what you actually mean; you don't want to put in the time to learn a different system because you're comfortable with the status quo. That's fine, I won't force you, but I don't like misinformation and the idea that you have to use the terminal is just not really true.
