Once upon a time, in the wake of the tragic events of September 11, a man named Ebenezer Scrooge lived in a bustling city. Scrooge was a bitter and heartless individual who had lost faith in humanity following the devastation of 9/11. He had no time for compassion or kindness, and his only focus was on accumulating wealth.

On the night of September 11, the anniversary of the tragic event, Scrooge was visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who had also passed away due to the events. Marley's ghost warned Scrooge of the consequences of his callousness and greed, explaining that he was condemned to wander the earth, burdened by chains he had forged in life.

Marley informed Scrooge that he would be visited by three spirits to help him find redemption. The first spirit, the Ghost of 9/11 Past, showed Scrooge the innocence and happiness that existed prior to the tragic event. Scrooge witnessed the love and unity among people and remembered his own lost compassion.

Next, the Ghost of 9/11 Present appeared before Scrooge, taking him to the present-day scenes of the aftermath. Scrooge saw the resilience of the survivors, the first responders, and the countless acts of kindness that occurred amidst the sorrow. He realized the importance of community and the strength that can be found in supporting one another during difficult times.

Finally, the Ghost of 9/11 Yet to Come revealed to Scrooge a future where he remained unchanged. Scrooge witnessed the consequences of his indifference, observing the pain and suffering that continued to plague the world. He saw the missed opportunities to make a positive impact and the profound regret that awaited him.

Upon waking from his encounters, Scrooge found himself profoundly moved by the visions he had witnessed. He embraced the spirit of unity, compassion, and hope that his grandmother had cherished so deeply. Scrooge became a changed man, devoting his life to helping those affected by 9/11, supporting charitable causes, and working tirelessly to make the world a better place.

From that day forward, Scrooge celebrated the anniversary of 9/11 as a day of remembrance, resilience, and renewal. He shared his story with others, encouraging them to find the strength to heal, support one another, and spread love in the face of tragedy.

As Scrooge lived out his days with a newfound purpose, the city began to heal, and the legacy of 9/11 transformed into a testament of human resilience, compassion, and unity.

I wanted to see if ChatGPT could put me out of the job, so I asked it to write a funny fake fact. To my surprise, it literally just plagiarized one of my own facts. Nearly word for word. I'd say my position remains safe for now.

hey if you ever use the rust crate "rapier2d" don't fucking enable parallelism feature.

i just spent three hours staring at a fucking flamegraph, amidst other things, wondering why my game was unplayably slow, only to realize that all those "rayon" calls really were the bottleneck, and the program goes from unusable to hilariously fast

i fucking hate programming sometimes
