Usually I can scroll through leftist publications because they’re at least a little bit hopeful, or if they’re just saying shit they usually invite you to do something about it by the end, but god damn is the mainstream media fatalistic
I remember the other day I saw an article about how oil executives knew what they were doing when they chose do make no steps towards scaling back production. One of them was quoted, saying something to the effect of “we all know that the economy depends on continued use of fossil fuels. There’s no reality in which we can just stop now.”
and it’s like
the economy also depends on me and my friends being able to breathe, which is getting kind of hard these daysIf they cared, they wouldn’t just write empty opinion pieces lamenting how everything’s falling apart. They’d ask follow up questions

moderation policies
the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
