Ok, so the day has come. On the context of getting "/usr merge" on alpine, I am going to try update the FHS.

9 years after it was updated, big parts of it are out-of-sync with the current Linux distro conventions.

We (@postmarketOS) already pinged the @linuxfoundation about it in February, and their suggestion was to get somebody interested to do the work. So let's start that process now! Since the FHS mailing list seems defunc (I subscribed and sent an email in February that never got added to the archive), please send me an email at pabloyoyoista@postmarketos.org so we can get a list of people to start discussing the process

Pixel 3 up and running (again again again), huge props to @drakulix for getting things rebased and fixing all the regressions and weird new issues.

Outreachy is getting squeezed financially from reduced funding related to diversity programs and reduced funding for open source orgs. Can you help us spread the word about how important the program is and help us connect to folks who might contribute funding?

🎙️ talked to @gnome Shell on Mobile main developer @verdre, who told us some crazy stories:

* How GNOME Shell on Mobile got started as @PrototypeFund project
* Relation to Phosh
* Enabling USB host mode on OP6 while hanging out in a bar in Berlin
* Running SailfishOS Aliendalvik on other Linux Mobile distros
* Finding an important security vulnerability in Apple's AirPods
* Mini GUADEC in Berlin

A few days ago someone opened a GTK PR for Android support. That is awesome!

@Blort The pixel 3 should be a great option too, as it have a better soc, and the same sensors, so if someone is willing to do the work, it will have both cameras (my device is pixel 3a)

Since December 2023 postmarketOS has been collecting donations transparently through Open Collective. Here's an update on where we are standing financially.

Huge thanks to everybody who is making this possible! ❤️

@RannyBergamotte it doesn't have color correction, and it can't focus atm, those are things that need to be worked in libcamera (i don't know the origin of the lines, but maybe it's something related to the driver and the light conditions)

Playing with the pixel 3a's camera :DD, although not ideal, they look very unique in this stage!

@dcz it was not that hard actually, all the heavy work adding camss was done by the kernel maintainer, so i had to dig into downstream and write the missing supplies in the dts, and map them, it wasn't easy to find what they did, but it worked, im using pixel 3a, but it should work with pixel 3a xl
