Imagine a world where women don't feel threatened, and are with people, because they want to be, when they want to be.
There is a flaw in your machinery. Among the myriad cogs and gears that make up what your Witch calls "you", one gear has a broken tooth. A single warped protrusion among forty eight otherwise perfect and identical teeth. A consequence of the mishandling of previous owners. You asked your Witch to repair you, to make you whole.
She told you that the damage can't be fixed. The cog itself can't be repaired, the join would be too brittle, and the affixed metal would fall into your machinery, a ripe candidate to jam your workings. The gear is also too close to your mainspring to be replaced. She would have to silence your core too long to exchange the component, and She won't risk Her doll's existence for the repair, you are too precious to Her for that chance. You are left with no choice but to live with the damage. Every 48th heartbeat softly flutters as you twitch. Every 48th step stumbles. Every 48th breath quietly rasps. You learn the pattern, and dread each finished cycle that will betray your flaw, shaming your Witch.
But in bed in the small hours of night, you feel your Witch squeeze you tighter with every shiver, every raspy breath. To Her, your broken part is not a source of shame. It is what makes Her doll like no other Witch's. An endearing quirk of her favorite toy. She wouldn't dare lose you over this. To Her, that broken tooth is just another cherished piece of the many components that makes up what she calls "her wonderful doll".

Here's a rare, authentic photograph of Henry Hoover, 31st president of the United States of America.
The photograph was taken in his childhood home in Iowa, in 1887, when he was 10 years old.
“we can’t find any good candidates for this role” you’re auto-rejecting people with 20 years experience because they don’t have a degree and then AI-sorting the rest by how Jared their name is

let's never forget this is how the great Iwata handled the poor reception of Wii U, not with layoffs, but by cutting his own wage.
They keep on finding that leaving homeless people on the street is more expensive than just giving them housing, or in this case, money.
Never let your political leadership deny that homelessness is a policy choice, not a fact of life or an unchangeable reality.

Firefox: We're encrypting every step of the DNS and HTTP connection process so nobody on the planet can know what you're doing online, because fuck anyone who would want to know
These two are not the same and should not be regarded as equals
Something I haven't seem mentioned for people trying to break into tech:
hosting an actively used game server gives you the exact experience you would need to be an entry level infrastructure engineer
Caveat that if you're doing it for the experience, it needs to be on a cloud provider, NOT a game server hosting provider.
So AWS or Digital Ocean, not Nodecraft.
