Also, ignore the google.com part, that’s literally what my school uses on a daily basis… kirby_angery

Note that I am also using Firefox, so some sites that should be on the list are not there.

@peterkal I suppose Vivaldi and Firefox use different types of tracker blockers so that’s the reason why some sites don’t seem to show up on the stats list

Both browsers tho have really good tracking protection!

Also, the SnapCraft might seem a little suspicious, I looked it up and they are using the googletagmanager. On the google docs it says: "Google Tag Manager is a tag management system (TMS) that allows you to quickly and easily update measurement codes and related code fragments collectively known as tags on your website or mobile app. "
So I guess those are to "blame".

@peterkal Yea, I’ve noticed that Snapcraft uses some Google analytics stuff but I don’t mind as long as my browser blocks them

I use Firefox with strict protection (cookies can't be shared between websites) and uBlock Origin (so every other tracker and non-privacy respecting ad that firefox doesn't block is blocked)

uBlock Origin says it's blocked 6318 trackers and ads

@Tau Y’know I use Vivaldi still but uBlock will always be my favorite content blocker no matter what 💪

For your phone, you can use different tool, that accomplishes the same, as on your Computer.

It's called from Mozilla developers. It's essentially DNS filtering app.

https://rethinkdns.com/

It gives you option to block incoming IP addresses, or block access to the Internet for entire apps .

(I use it mostly, to prevent apps like Google analytics, to send data from my phone to their servers, because I can't remove it completely, but I can block data escaping my device, without my permission)

-They also have pre-built lists of websites, cryptoscams, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, and much much more.

There are also separate lists, for different threat models, on privacy, and security (but use those on your own risk, I don't know who built those lists, or what permissions they have)

Only downside I experienced, was that it can't be turned ON, with a as well, but they are working on that feature.
