@ahriboy Might potentially defederate from mastodonsocial too, mainly to decrease traffic. Please be warned that you should move instances or services if you want to still follow or interact with me. I may block mastodonsocial without warning

@asahi95 @ahriboy So how would that work? If you de-federate, does that block people on that instance from seeing you at all? Could we still actively look you up? Or does it just stop your server from indexing and displaying toots from that server?

@gerowen @ahriboy Not entirely sure, it could do the latter but people from that instance won't show up on my timeline nor I'll be able to search them up. It could also remove followers from that instance, not entirely sure if you can still look me up, yes it'll stop indexing and displaying posts from that instance

If you still want to follow me, I recommend an different instance such as fosstodon.org or even move to Calckey

@asahi95 @ahriboy I may check one of those out. I've kinda stayed here since it's ran by the devs and gets updates fast, plus it's not likely to get turned off just because one guy gets tired of messing with it. My wife made an account on a smaller instance that the app recommended and its feed is several hours behind everybody else. My experience here has been pretty positive so overall.

@gerowen @ahriboy Fosstodon is very much nearly up to date with mastodonsocial, so that wouldn't be a major concern, plus the admins there are very active and aren't gonna give up and shut down anytime soon

community guidelines

  1. you must be over 14 years old to join. coral castle's servers are hosted in chile, and under article 19,628 of the laws of chile, we are unauthorized to collect data from people under 14.
  2. do not spam or raid. the fediverse is not your space to intoxicate.
  3. nsfw/nsfl content must be marked as sensitive. coral castle is built to be used as a casual instance, and as such should be accessible anywhere.
  4. hate speech, paraphilia, and harassment will get you banned. having basic human decency is key anywhere. whether it is in real life or on the internet, don't be a jerk.
  5. keep things legal. this includes pirated content, since we want to keep a good relationship across fediverse servers. posting CSAM is strictly forbidden and will result in legal action.

moderation policies

the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
