i think full sized sd cards really deserve a comeback,

if your device has a port for them (which my thinkpad, my desktop AND my serverbox all do) they're more convenient due to locking in place and sitting flush with the device,

not to mention that thanks to phones, both sd and microsd are very very affordable now, with incredible sizes to boot (sduc literally maxes out at 128tb, its incredible)

i also find specifically full size sd to be by far the easiest to store, since not only can you just leave it in the device due to it sitting flush, but its also just a great shape to store a whole bunch of them in a little holder

and if you're concerned about size, microsd is still available, though it loses all of the convenience benefits because it is fucking TINY and easy to lose and doesnt lock into place, but you can also just be like me and use one in an adapter to mostly regain them

like usb is amazing for adapters and peripherals, but if we can have a standard besides it, i would prefer it being SD
