@dogo i cant say much about 8 personally, i dont miss it that much (part of it is that vista was my first experience with computers in early childhood, another part is that 8 is too 'flat' for my taste). tho 8 still has it legacy, metro gave start to what we know as uwp now (which could be good if microsoft didnt push it so hard) and ui generally started being more touch-friendly

@bogdan i have an affinity for metro is the whole thing, they were much bolder with it in windows phone/win 8 than the subsequent corporatized win10 look

@Eramdam the escargot page lists some os 9 ones that can be made to work, but theyre not interested in patching any osx ones :\

@dogo hot take, vista 64x was so much better than xp-64x, if the machine had 4gb+ of ram & a dgpu.

@Denton i tried it out for a couple weeks with 2 gigs, felt a lil tight but otherwise nice really
