"NATO" is one of those weird things where, on principle, yes i really dislike NATO... but when you see someone on the internet complaining about "NATO", it's a good sign they might be fash

not like, 100% for sure, but there's a pretty good correlation

i figure this is because of the oddly specific nature of the complaint, like:

"smash all states" -> yes, good.

"smash NATO" -> uuh ok, but why them specifically and not everyone else

@wednesday dont think its quite this bad particularly since in the last year actual nato stans started becoming a thing so fucking with those guys is actually a good thing

but bonus points for blanket statements regarding nato *especially* when about the iraq war

  4. hate speech, paraphilia, and harassment will get you banned. having basic human decency is key anywhere. whether it is in real life or on the internet, don't be a jerk.
  5. keep things legal. this includes pirated content, since we want to keep a good relationship across fediverse servers. posting CSAM is strictly forbidden and will result in legal action.

moderation policies

the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
