MY LIVESTREAM IS BLOCKED EVERYWHERE BECAUSE OF SOME OF THE TRAILERS AAAAAAAAAAAA
i don’t know if i really have enough to dispute it? i can say fair use - i do talk over the two trailers and it’d make me pretty sad to have that commentary gone - but t hey can just deny it. maybe i should just trim it out. both options will take a while.
submitted fair use disputes for both claims - both were on FLCL Progressive trailers. if they get rejected i’ll just suck it up and trim them out. hopefully they get looked at soon, trimming it out also takes a bit of processing time and you have to do it individually for each claim. if they don’t respond within 48 hours it goes back up until they do tho.
@iatendril i’ve played around with it before, it’s not a comparable platform even just function wise unfortunately. it’s impossible to be cause of google’s resources. i’ve thought about posting high quality VODs there but my PC can’t handle recording and streaming at the same time lol.
@iatendril I’ve looked into that as well and also decided against it. Fedi video platforms just aren’t really there yet
@iatendril Big thing for Owncast is the lack of security for chat. YouTube will have their own security stuff for accounts and you have to make an account. There’s moderation features. Owncast does not really do this. Latency is bad. i don’t like having to self host. Owncast couldn’t put my VODs up automatically. Minimal if any overlay integrations. PeerTube streaming delay is worse. Hard finding an instance with sufficient storage and rules with confidence it’ll stay around, if not impossible. Upload quality entirely dependent on host, it’s usually not good. Comments suck. No chapter markers. Dubious legality in relation to copyright things. Minimal options overall. There’s a lot, I’ve personally tried it. Just not a realistic or good option.
@SweetAmelia you have to backup your own videos. Blackblaze B2 is pretty good (not their “consumer backup” offer)
