Every once in a while I think "I'm pretty smart, I bet I could read Capital" and then I don't

I think when I was younger I had some sort of self righteousness that gave me the energy to push through reading theory I didn't have the patience for but now that I'm not entirely convinced of how useful it is, I need to be seriously, explicitly interested in whatever the specific topic of an academic text is to read it

Yeah I only read stuff if it's fun or is enjoyable bc it teaches me fun stuff to do. Otherwise I don't read it. Anarchy isn't about reading boring shit. Ppl act like anarchy is giving urself DIY boring ass homework.

@CriminalCabbage That's kind of where I'm at too. The older I get, the more there seems to be to learn in the streets than in old books. Lived experience almost always trumps theory.

I don't necessarily disagree. I more lean towards having fun is of much more importance than being effecient. Like there is a ton of useful stuff to read about that is prob more effective than doing it in person. But I think it's missing the point of anarchy when u have having less fun to be efficient rather than having fun but being less efficient.

Tho I still mostly agree with u

@CriminalCabbage It sounds like you and I have fairly different conceptions of what anarchy means and I think I like your way better
