oh what the hell
can we stop with these in-your-face-can't-read-a-damn-thing webpages please?
even your cookie prompt blocks your stupid corporate landing text
omg they artificially reduced scrolling speed to like 0.1x
i actually hate this website
@ari I hate when some websites hijack scrolling so it flips downwards through, like cards? IDK how to explain it. But they’re very cringe and it gives me fatigue. Or when they change the cursor to a circle or some other weird shape and now you have to work out where the pointer actually is instead of just clicking.
@yukijoou bold of a massive web 2.0 site owned by a massive corporation opting to "not misuse cookies"
what does that even mean anymore- genuinely asking as there are some instances were i would like to utilise cookies in my own projects but want to know best practices
@ari according to the gh blog post, you only have to use a cookie banner if you do any tracking/advertising/… with the cookies you place. if you’re using cookies to keep a user logged in, it’s fine
@yukijoou okay actually rare github W
honestly the fact that people decided to use cookies for anything more than just keeping user/site data in the first place is stupid
