Anyone know if a pci-e riser 16x to 16x would work for the rx 550 that won't fit in my dell pc? It uses power from the PSU, no other cables are required
It's only £5 so thinking to try anyway, but I'm unsure it'd actually work. Plus I have to leave the case off too

@daviddd It should work, I don’t see any reason it shouldn’t, however, it will be annoying to wire everything inside the case and keep airflow.

@daviddd It's for PCIe version 1.0, while the GPU likely can use much faster 3.0. I don't know if it means it working at a theoretically lower performance or reliability, or not working at all. Reviews here are varied.

I can just spray my pc with air every once in a while and hopefully that should be alright? :3

@daviddd Yeah, I mean you should spray your PC with air every once and a while anyway, but it should be alright, well, as long as you don’t live in a sandbox, or on someones shedding head
