@m ...your instance is breaking fediverse post privacy assumptions. the original post is of locked privacy level. you have interacted with it as if it was not locked, you do NOT follow me from my perspective, but there is a friend of mine on the instance that does. this is unacceptable. as such, i will very strongly request that you signal this to your instance administrator. i am posting this as unlisted so others see what just happened.

@m while the activitypub follow state machine is something we all collectively hate for multiple years, seeing it still happen in this direction in 2024 is honestly surprising to me (usually it's follows that are not recognized by the remote, which are not as egregious as a follow that is not recognized on the local). i would suggest that you investigate on your own instance db (because i should not have access to your db) to see possible cases of follow relationships breaking down, and hopefully have enough evidence for a bug report against akkoma.

as such, i rolled out a quarantine from my instance to seafoam dot space, feel free to lmk if you have akkoma structure questions, or the bug report itself, but as things stand i do not think i am the only account with this issue.

@m i hope you understand that given your position as instance admin you could somewhat easily sidestep post privacy levels, since i can not trust you (first time we're ever talking to each other), i have to act in my own interests, hence quarantine
