In case you thought the threads were just “old mistakes” being brought up, here’s the same behavior from today: https://github.com/SerenityOS/serenity/pull/24647
@hazelnoot@enby.life bleh
@hazelnoot@enby.life i hope they're actually going to do it and it's not a cover-up for what andreas said before
@hazelnoot that tells me all, project's gotta go
@tauon@possum.city it would be great if they did, but I don't have high expectations.
@hazelnoot locked for being "too heated" IT WAS LUKEWARM AT BEST??? 😭😭😭😭😭
@hazelnoot "locked as too heated" before anything heated happens is such a tell.
We have had the long-standing rule in our project that we do not concern ourselves with controversial topics as to not alienate anyone who’d like to join in the project.
They seem to look for a specific group of “anyone”

Btw, the original issue was fixed in a very recent PR
I am upset that it took making the pull request comment super formal in order for them to mark it as "not controversial".
@squeakybeaver well I’m glad they’re fixing it, even though it should not have taken this much pressure.
@hazelnoot@enby.life @squeakybeaver@blahaj.zone I really hope the devs behind Serenity and Ladybird also change their general worldview for the better as well. In a rotting world where we need to support our most marginalized folks more than ever, outdated politics just doesn't cut it. No amount of whining about cancel culture or a few good-for-nothings back in Twitter will dispute the fact that we should be inclusive towards talented people no matter what.
@hazelnoot@enby.life serenityOS team is also full of ai bros, look at the thumbnails of the creator's youtube channel, they also show an ai generated picture of a laptop on the new ladybird website
@cinnamonpancake @hazelnoot ah my favorite laptop brand, dtolvT yHidl
