Dealing with the most maddening Sims 4 bug. Sims have personal feelings about other Sims called sentiments, which drive how they interact with each other. A sim that feels bitter to another will lash out at them.
I've had a couple who, for reasons I couldn't figure out, were randomly mean to each other for things I couldn't figure out. From marriage up until their kids were ready to graduate high school, they've had a super rocky relationship compared to other couples. My main sim kept yelling at her husband, and eventually he started getting negative sentiments toward her.
Turns out, sentiments were sticking around for far longer than they should. As married adults with two children, she was bitter this whole time because.... He didn't invite her to prom once. That's it. That's what caused a lifetime of bitterness toward each other

I can't get over the fact that the biggest obstacle to a happy life these two had was prom. So many arguments and grudges, over prom

I've removed the stuck sentiments manually and fixed their relationship, and observed them for a few days in game. After smoothing things over they've not been mean to each other at all. They've been super loving, like they should have been all along 🥹
I might schedule a vow renewal for them since they never had a proper wedding ceremony

the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
