@j0 i haven’t been looking into the hackintosh scene since forever so maybe they have a solution in mind but i imagine it’ll survive right until apple drops x86
arm is too inconsistent a platform even for things with official support (both windows and linux), a third party dev community that also has to deal with apple’s own jank really feels “unsustainable” to me
@ShittyKopper i think hackintoshing will stay on x86 for a while, opencore on x86 will fully mature, then dry up. development will probably move to stuff like asahi and other arm efforts (Windows arm? dunno)
@ShittyKopper notably i think that opencore legacy patched and hackintoshed computers will be very decent for a long time unless apple does something awful
@j0 Probably soon after Apple stops supporting Intel-based macs for new versions of macOS.
