minors dni mfs when they find out minors have seen porn before and age in bio means nothing because they can fake their age, you don't know if someone is actually 18, or they're 16 pretending to be 18 so yea.. that's kinda a scary thought for rp as well because, you just don't know for certain. Unless they've posted selfies or sent to you, it gives you a much better idea then.

If your account was all porn, wouldn't it be better to just make your whole account followers only?

@daviddd there's a part of the argument that would genuinely say that social media should require identification

"that's mass surveillance!"
"exactly."

@daviddd so many child protection laws actually diminish minors' legal rights, it's disgusting

@daviddd It's one of many reasons I don't do rp and especially distrust dating site profiles e.g. aged 22 for a site existing for four years.

But wouldn't followers only be almost equal to verifying age of all people requesting follows? It doesn't seem easier. (While it can be safer for other reasons.)

At the same time, people posting public nsfw selfies improve my self esteem and awareness of how people look (not the porn body shapes), and here they write cool stuff.

@twinkle yea, I know in america, people are called groomers just because a minor asked an nsfw question and an adult answered it. Or because an adult said some people have two mothers and fathers.
It seems like it makes adults scared to answer questions honestly, even if they might answer in an age appropriate way. E.g., when I was around 10, I asked my mom how I was born and she said I "came out her tummy", and I was fine with that answer. I don't think I knew what sex was then, was quite innocent as a child lol

@twinkle and it is very stupid. When I was little, I didn't have my own computer. It was downstairs, and parents kept an eye on what I was doing until I got my moms old phone (second phone, before that I had my dads old flip phone). I was about 11 then. Parents should learn how to be parents, instead of websites requiring ID for watching porn. IMO u shouldn't know what pornhub is until high school/middle school near the end if you're american.
