Ugh. I never like doing an . I’m here because I want to follow cool people and see what y’all are making. I want to see your cosplay and your hobby electronics and your webcomics and your indie video games. Show me what you’re passionate about.

I code in various languages. I write music. I use every OS, but I don’t think I’ll ever love an OS the way I loved BeOS. 💔

I love Star Trek and Squirrel Girl and spoiled black cats. 🐈‍⬛

@zombierustpunk beOs was awesome! I still remember booting up the installer disc.

@Sebastienb Computers have gotten a lot faster, but I’ve never had another system that was so responsive.

@zombierustpunk have tried running recently on an old computer or VM?

@Sebastienb No, but if I ever come across my old install CD, maybe I’ll give it a try. Not really sure what I’d do with it, though. I doubt NetPositive can do much on the web these days.

@jacobrogers256 Yep. Lately I’ve been using Pop!_OS, but I change distributions every once in a while. But I use Windows and macOS a fair amount as well.

@coolbean I haven’t used Haiku in a very long time, and it didn’t really have much compelling about it at the time. But i’m sure it’s come a long way since then. Maybe i’ll give it another try some time.

@jacobrogers256 not particularly, but i hear good things about it. I do enough low-level iOS programming to be mildly annoyed with the small differences between linux and bsd syscalls though, lol

@jacobrogers256 I used to be a JS developer. Compared to the left-pad function getting its own package and repo, nothing even fazes me anymore.
