long rant about apparently a phone being a console? what

An "iPhone" is not a "gaming console"
The console sits at home, you take the phone everywhere with you. The point of a "console" is you can sit down and turn it on conveniently (and the remote works on the menu, too). You don't have to fiddle around every time u get home
A phone is not, and will never be, a console.
And u could argue, what about the switch? Well, the dock plugs into the tv and all u got to do is use a controller, or joy cons. No messing about tryn to navigate the home screen too! Easy, and convenient. Phones will never be like this.

Also, can you play every game with a controller on your phone? No, you can't, unless you use somethin like bluestacks to bind your controls where you wanna touch, and what buttons.

Also, handheld consoles are consoles because they are meant for gaming. There isn't specific games that are like "u can't use a controller at all", unless it's a touch screen. And a controller can't play every phone game as I said. Thats like if you got a switch, and they told you you have to buy another controller for a specific game. Inconvenient. And annoying.

I like how I'm just ranting about random shit. Lol

@daviddd So it's like a Steam Deck, but marketed for non-gaming use, with the device vendor having an exclusive app store and no official docking station. And like big consoles but not Steam Deck, the SDK supports development on a specific platform only.

(I can't play some games on it, as they need a keyboard. And I sometimes play a game requiring a guitar as a controller.)

I think it's a cool naming issue.
