im convinced sidebery is the best extension ever made (maybe after uBo)
ive never found anything so customizable. i can have bookmarks categorized by use, it has containers integration, trackpad support is pretty decent, can access bookmarks & history all in one ui, mute all tabs, unload, its wild. i love this extension so much and the fact you can remove the tabbar totally makes it even better...
@ioletsgo it helps a lot on touchpad
also im a big gnome user. three finger swipe for desktop swap is invaluable to me
@j0 it activates the panel. I have fnlock switched through the bios.
@ioletsgo dont u ever want to quickly mute ur mic/speaker? theyre invaluable in public for me
@ioletsgo function keys are dumb tho. why would i want help with f1? why is that more important than muting my speaker
@j0 it's up to personal preference. I like knowing that the utility of certain keys on my keyboard doesn't change from laptop to laptop.
@j0 I've been using sidebery for quite a while now, it's lovely, definitely gets a recommendation from me.
@ao have you tried v5 on their gh releases? its nice! (you probably know but just making sure :p)
@ioletsgo i only use one laptop so this does not bother me :p
@j0 I haven't bothered but the version I have installed is doing everything I need it to, so, shrug
@j0 look at the keyboard of this Toshiba Satellite L305. Esc is mute, f6 is bright down, and god only knows what half of the symbols mean.
@ioletsgo you telling me you dont know what the ➡️🛢 button is? everyone knows what the ➡️🛢 is! :p
@j0
Everybody uses that button. I remember there was a lot of controversy when laptop manufacturers decided to remove that button.
