Haven't been obsessed over an indie game like I am with Signalis right now.
Gay robots, existential horror, incredibly captivating setting and lore, just general atmosphere, I think about this game so much.
It's like I've read the King in Yellow and lost my goddamn mind over a bunch of fictional robots.
@hierarchon You do.
Then you would be one of us.
One of us.
One of us.
One of us.
@hierarchon You *really* need to play that game.
@Deiru it seems really cool and i think i’d like it, except i cannot do anything remotely scary. so i just gotta leave it be ;-;
@SweetAmelia You're there with a lot of other people!
@Deiru i knoww… it hurts my soul… ill just have to keep pretending to be a gay robot myself i guess…
@SweetAmelia I dunno I feel like you can stomach it if you tried, it's not as scary as other games. Just... very soul crusing. And sad.
Sad and soul crushing.
@Deiru maybe? i dont have an issue with like, existential dread. but i cant do anything scary and i really just don’t enjoy anything that makes me feel scared, i don’t like feeling scared.
@SweetAmelia That's valid! And I get it, I'm usually averse to scary stuff myself (I tried to start Alien Isolation 50 times and noped out on the first alien encounter every time lole), I'm just saying it might be worth (and totally not because I'm obsessed with the game and trying to get as many people to play it as I can)
@Deiru i believe that it’s really good and that there would be a lot of aspects of it that i’d like, but honestly, there’s not really much if anything that i find worth being scared over, at the very least in the entertainment/media space. sometimes if there’s a horror thing i’m interested in i’ll read up on the wiki and stuff but that’s it. i feel like it’s just, no replacement for actually playing or watching something tho, so i don’t really do that anymore. maybe if i don’t hate being scared so much one day, i can properly sink my teeth into that kind of stuff, but until then, i just can’t and won’t ;-;
@SweetAmelia Valid. Go play Disco Elysium then.
@Deiru i’ve started it a few times, very much need to play more, i liked it a lot
