i wish all of ipv6 a very die
absolutely no advantages over ipv4 + significantly harder to remember
fun fact: i try to disable ipv6 where possible on stuff i own
@mystie I mean
the benefit of ipv6 is no CGNAT :3
@mystie it means that you could actually port forward :3
if you’re behind CGNAT due to ipv4 exhaustion, you can’t port forward
@mystie those only work for HTTP(S) (at least on the free tier)
there’s many things one might want to port forward that dont use HTTP like a Minecraft server
@mystie okay but why pay for an external service when you can just port forward on ipv6 due to everyone being able to have an ipv6 address
ipv4 addresses will continue to become more expensive and less available
@mystie many isps only offer that for commercial customers
that also doesn’t address ipv4 addresses becoming more and more expensive with time
