im so fucking tired of game developers being lazy and not making games crossplay. im so fucking tired of console players being whiney annoying bitches that cant handle more than 2 options before fucking exploding. i just want to play mordhau with friends that bought it on xbox but noooo thats too much to ask for apparently

@coolbeans the issue is that they just do not give you the option! they dont let you make the choice of playing with pc players on console, they dont give you the choice of using a keyboard and mouse on console if you want, they dont let you decide what you want to do! they dont let you play with your friends on other platforms and its only reinforced by the majority of crybaby ass console players that blow dick at the game they're playing anyways

@OrangeCatCatBoys actually i think nowadays keyboard and mouse are possible on console, heard a friend talking about that

but yea, it sucks, especially because yea, consoles are just shitty pcs by now

but playstation runs freebsd so its still more based than the michaelsoft binbows based box

@coolbeans plus its not even like the game is thriving right now anyways, the last time i played the most populated server i could find was some eastern european dueling server that had 6 other people on it. by not having crossplay they're just fucking themselves over in the long run because eventually console players will end up getting bored after a while and then both platforms will have dead servers instead of you know, having them all play with eachother so there can be some form of activity in the fucking game

@coolbeans kb and mouse is entirely possible now, i was playing mw2019 with friends by plugging mine in to a multi usb port since the console only has like 2 usb ports lmao

like, im sorry to say this, but fortnite and cod got it right. you can choose between no crossplay, console to console crossplay, and full crossplay. if you were using kb+m on console, you'd get in full crossplay servers automatically. they give you all the possible choices without forcing a singular one on players. its done really well and its one of the main reasons why those games are still thriving

@coolbeans and like, yeah nice, so many people bought it on console that the servers cannot handle it! however, 90% of those players are gonna leave in a month because they realize the game requires skill, and eventually the console servers are gonna end up like the pc servers. sure, give them like a month or two to learn the controls and game, but anything longer than that is gonna kill it off faster than anything else.

  1. you must be over 14 years old to join. coral castle's servers are hosted in chile, and under article 19,628 of the laws of chile, we are unauthorized to collect data from people under 14.
  2. do not spam or raid. the fediverse is not your space to intoxicate.
  3. nsfw/nsfl content must be marked as sensitive. coral castle is built to be used as a casual instance, and as such should be accessible anywhere.
  4. hate speech, paraphilia, and harassment will get you banned. having basic human decency is key anywhere. whether it is in real life or on the internet, don't be a jerk.
  5. keep things legal. this includes pirated content, since we want to keep a good relationship across fediverse servers. posting CSAM is strictly forbidden and will result in legal action.

moderation policies

the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
