Didn’t get a chance to watch any of the newer stuff - character design was too cringey for my partner (we had just recently finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and they were cringed out - despite my appeal that “She’s showing way less crotch area than usual”) and they didn’t have the experience of watching Stand Alone Complex late at night during college to give any nostalgic vibes

Pretty hot take. Only neg I have on it is that Mozilla rejected my application. To their credit, it was the fastest form rejection I ever got (~10 minutes) so “impressive”

(current meta for the last ~10 years of tech hiring is “total ghost unless they want you” and this goes through all phases of hiring. You might go through 3 rounds of interviews, but if it’s been more than 2 days of silence - it’s a “no”. Nobody has the guts to say “beat it” anymore. Sorry the thread isn’t even about Tech Industry. It’s about if you prefer iOS vs Android)

On my umpteenth watch through of "Frasier" and just now realized they wear their earphones backwards (left on right ear) most of the time.

Almost forgot about this one: Durning the last #Splatfest (“end of the world”) I played a match with somebody who pulled off a pacifist run and finished first for points in the match! Pretty neat side achievement! I wonder if they were going for that or not 🤔

Some horrors from playing Series on S+

Even if they took each series to 7 games, the ability to take it to 14 series is mind-breaking for a noob like me #Splatoon #Splatoon3

Matchmaking for S+ levels: Is it suppose to be “everybody who’s S+ is in your pool” or is it still suppose to be close to your S+ level?

I somehow lucked my way into S+0 and have been getting absolutely walloped in Rank and X battles ever since. Think my current record is like 13 - 33

“Skill issue” to be sure, but dang was not expecting this.

(not worth a reset since Season is about up)

e: 13-33 is only recent. I think I’m like -1700 because almost every series is 0-3

Main instance (this one) has been down most of the week so I’ve been on one of my fallbacks.

As quirky as it is, I started missing the Akkoma UI.

@trixter That’s gotta be one badass pilgrimage. Finger bone of a saint? Hell naw! This place has an entire femur!!!!

@loren I used to have a neighbor that mowed his lawn 2x a week. He even removed the gates to his back yard so he could zoom through with his mower faster.

It was his way of getting alone time away from his family. It was annoying, but kinda sad when you realized what was going on.

However, yeah screw leaf blowers! They should have like a 5 minute usage with a 120 hour cool-down.

@splatoon Hopefully they’ll fix Hammerhead so I don’t get totally blown out at Splatzones all of the time (skill issue, but I won’t cry if some stage massaging gives me some confidence)
