the chinese branch’s vtuber designs seem to have a bit of a different style than the others i’ve seen so far as well as maybe a bit of a different design philosophy, i’m liking a lot more of them than compared to any other branch thus far.

Waku - The first Chinese vtuber to appear here, a part of Nijisanji’s collaboration with billibilli. I really like this design. It balances comfy while still being visually interesting to look at. I find the shading particularly cool looking.

As I’ve continued, I’ve found there’s new depths of these talents having minimal information online. There’s been a few that do not have wiki pages and only have a headshot floating around the internet. It amazes me but I guess Nijisanji is just so big it’s bound to happen that some more unpopular and early ones have just faded.

Yorumi Rena - these colors mix so well and pop so well even tho its just white and black omg the red really brings it all out. it’s sooo cute and stylish. the face isn’t bad but isn’t the same tier as the rest of the design tbh, otherwise, i probably would’ve put this in “love”. i may still but it’s a tougher call.

the face would probably go in definite dislike while the rest would go in definite like. weird mix.

Hakase Fuyuki - i really like the style of this overall, i think its thicker lines, but it feels like the face is in the usual style while the rest of it is in a bit of a different style. these really fall apart at the face, huh. fan of the outfit tho! the lil potion thing and vials look kinda cute actually, love the flowers and the half jacket over more clothes, not a fan of how high up the neck thingy goes.

Hayama Marin - i think she’s pretty cute but i don’t think the outfit design works. the top to the like tight underlayer and then skirt looks very awkward and disjointed. if it wasn’t for that, this would be a definite like. now i’m not sure whether to put this in dislike or not…

Suzuhara Lulu - love love love?! does anyone know the name of this aesthetic? because i’ve seen this kind of thing before and i love it. it’s so cute. so cute. the colors are the right combo of natural and bright. love those little hats. the skirt dress thingy. all the lil accessories on her. so cute.

Inui Toko - I kind of really like this one but the colors don’t hit the right spot for me so I’m holding this back from the “love” tier for now. The style of this feels a bit different than the average one, though subtely. Softer, maybe…? I really like the facek, the blush and the soft eyes. I do feel like the colors would end up boring me though.

having worked on and off on this all day, though not much in the second half of the day, i’ve ranked a third of all of them at best, maybe a fourth really. whew…

lize helesta - i really like this!! i feel like it’s missing a little extra something to really make me love it, but i really like this. the color contrasts really well and she cute.

@euphy i used to make very short notes about stuff id watch in my diary but i havent really done that in a while. i dont think it helps much either though - its just another way to snapshot your feelings at the time. and i do spend a lot of time rewatching stuff cuz ive forgot it lol and its kind of a new experience, which while sometimes kinda good, it mostly feels like damn if i just remembered shit well enough i could be doing actually new things instead.

kuroi shiba - i don’t know how to rank this.

yumeoi kakeru - this is all… really bad. the proportions, art quality, lackluster design… not good.

achikita chinami - she looks like shes from yandere simulator. no further comments on her.
