Baldur’s Gate 3: I keep thinking I’m about to be done with the first map / act but then I find so much more. It’s not like in other games where you find there’s still a quest to do, I mean whole ass expansive areas. This game is insane.

im really happy baldurs gate 3 is seeing such crazy success. no way i would’ve believed it would be this popular before launch. it was always going to be popular in the crpg fiedl, dos2 fans, and baldurs gates fan, but not sure anyone couldve predicted how far it’s gone. hopefully it means more crpgs and just more games like the ones larian puts out.

i will say the romance seems poorly done. well, i can’t really speak to the actual contents of the romance really, but it happens way too fast. i thought there would be like, building up to that point. nope. at some point you get an event or a dialogue to be like “sex” and theyre instantly like “yeah” without any prior hints of them feeling that way. its weird. not a fan. otherwise, amazing so far i think.

i am alive im just playing baldurs gate 3. maybe coming up on the end of act one? assuming it’s like DOS2 and there’s a map per act.

theres a fly thats been hanging around my desk and computer monitors. i was annoyed by it at first but it’s been some days and i’m kind of attached. sometimes it sits at the top of my monitors and just chills or itll even go on my monitor and i wont do anything to it. little fella is just chilling. how long do flys live? i dont want lil buddy to go ;-;

I've been listening a lot to this band I found recently called Loathe. The album "I Let It In and It Took Everything" has been so good, combining the metalcore of their previous stuff with this ethereal, melodic sound that I really love. @iatendril Big thing for Owncast is the lack of security for chat. YouTube will have their own security stuff for accounts and you have to make an account. There’s moderation features. Owncast does not really do this. Latency is bad. i don’t like having to self host. Owncast couldn’t put my VODs up automatically. Minimal if any overlay integrations. PeerTube streaming delay is worse. Hard finding an instance with sufficient storage and rules with confidence it’ll stay around, if not impossible. Upload quality entirely dependent on host, it’s usually not good. Comments suck. No chapter markers. Dubious legality in relation to copyright things. Minimal options overall. There’s a lot, I’ve personally tried it. Just not a realistic or good option.

@iatendril I’ve looked into that as well and also decided against it. Fedi video platforms just aren’t really there yet
