The more I see of big social media platforms blocking searches on certain topics, or making the algorithm deprioritize links, or even now making links more inaccessible by hiding title previews, the more I think we need some sort of GDPR-style regulations on social media to prevent these platforms from doing this.
It may not affect us here on the Fediverse, but because the general public gets their news mainly from these sites now, this shit is akin to mass social engineering, especially since Twitter and Meta have seemingly no interest in moderating misinformation.
Corporations shouldn't have this big of a say in what information is easily accessible, and thus people see and get influenced by. It really sucks that the Internet has become this way.
You wake up but feel odd. You appear to be covered in scales, have wings lazily drooped behind you and a tail curled up around your body. And it all feels just right.
It's #TherianThursday.
Full restock next week bar the PineTab2 and OG PinePhone, which will be available a few weeks later.
As always, we'll notify you of the restock!
Shortish impressions from #linuxday
I've took an early enough train so that I would be able to attend the very interesting talk about #libcamera at 10:00
Of course having arrived at the premises I quickly scouted out the stands, and immediately met with some #Debian friends and noticed a huge, but friendly #linux penguin wearing a #froscon shirt :)
All pictures are *obviously* #ShotOnLibrem5

@exi why is NSFW content considered an anti-feature? Is F-Droid puritan?
oh god oh fuck they're using Bing to break captchas (also that prompt is hilarious)
In the style of @yearof :
2025 will be the year of the #Linux desktop because nobody wants to ditch their perfectly fine #Windows10 computer because it doesnβt support #Windows11 .
