Curious about the demographic of fedi: Which of these regions are you on?

Oceania is defined as in https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oceania - it is not a continent, but instead a geographic region consisting primarily of Australia and New Zealand. I had to collapse those into one to avoid needing more than 8 options.

hello my current place of work is kinda shitty so im looking for a new computer touching job

i'm adept at web design, server software and system administration
i run two linux servers serving roughly 250 total users
at my current place of work i made one of the central systems run like 25 times faster

i know go, javascript, and python by heart, as well as being pretty good in many other languages, and i'm a quick learner as well

job has to be fully remote or at the very least hybrid. i live in israel, but i may consider relocation to europe depending on the opportunity

Con harta pena escribo para contarles que durante la madrugada falleció @4w4 , administradore de esta instancia, animalesenfu.ga.

Me consta que 4w4 le tenía harto cariño a animalesenfuga y era un lugar importante para elle, cuando la montó le dedicó hartas horas de lectura y aprendizaje, y hace algunas semanas se dedicó a armar un nuevo equipo para hostearla y hace tan solo unos días migró la instancia a esa nueva maquina.

Si le conocían personamente o incluso si no, y quieren acompañar a la familia y amistades, el lunes será el velorio y ceremonia en el crematario del Cementerio Católico, Recoleta.

welcome to coral castle, a chill community sailing on the fediverse. we strive to be a safe, left-leaning, queer-friendly, communitarian space for all kinds of folk. before joining, make sure to read our community guidelines.

community guidelines

  1. you must be over 14 years old to join. coral castle's servers are hosted in chile, and under article 19,628 of the laws of chile, we are unauthorized to collect data from people under 14.
  2. do not spam or raid. the fediverse is not your space to intoxicate.
  3. nsfw/nsfl content must be marked as sensitive. coral castle is built to be used as a casual instance, and as such should be accessible anywhere.
  4. hate speech, paraphilia, and harassment will get you banned. having basic human decency is key anywhere. whether it is in real life or on the internet, don't be a jerk.
  5. keep things legal. this includes pirated content, since we want to keep a good relationship across fediverse servers. posting CSAM is strictly forbidden and will result in legal action.

moderation policies

the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
