this genuinely puts me in a dumb spot, i can deal with inaccuracy to get roughly right measurements at a small scale (a foot is about 30cm and such), but because the mile isnt derived from any other unit i just have to deal with 1.6km

imperial measurements are a fucking monster, unironically deserve to be replaced by a more metric aligned replacement that also happens to change a mile to 1000 yards and a yard to exactly 1 meter and such

coolbeans@misskey.heonian.org@kopopp ngl that was the tie breaker for my made up metric aligned imperial system, an inch is now a 30th of a meter, a foot a 3rd a yard just is a meter and to make it name accurate, a mile is 1000 yards (which is now the exact same as a kilometer)

@kopopp like it literally comes from the latin word for a thousand, and the original roman mile was just a thousand paces (remarkably close to 1000m, whaddya know)

- hate speech, paraphilia, and harassment will get you banned. having basic human decency is key anywhere. whether it is in real life or on the internet, don't be a jerk.
- keep things legal. this includes pirated content, since we want to keep a good relationship across fediverse servers. posting CSAM is strictly forbidden and will result in legal action.
moderation policies
the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
