i feel like a lot of people forget the importance of good search capabilities in programs
akkoma's search is damn near useless
*keys are okay at it
but mastodon has an incredibly robust search system and it's one of my most used features
i constantly search through old discord messages to find some joke or image or passing mention of a useful tool
it's so useful
@authen it's easily the best of any fedi software, and it's pretty solid overall
i can search posts, filter by date, attachments, if they're bookmarked or in my "library"
it's really useful imo
@doskel mastodon search never works for me
probably an instance thing tho
@kib48 huh
i'm running chuckya, and elasticsearch seems to be reliable enough. that's odd.
@kib48 might also have to do with wdw obeying search opt-out, which on public instances does make sense
i just set all posts and accounts to be searchable, so it works better
@doskel mastodon is the best tweet-style fedi platform :3
@doskel this + fuzzy search for options in programs like in blender, vscode, etc holy shit it's SO useful
i also miss krunner from kde i should make a gnome app that does that
