@jolitl the mbti is not based on any science at all and had pretty racist origins so i don't really think you're missing out

“facts or feelings”

okay so. I’d generally think you should always strive for the factual because that will bring the best feelings.

but if you use just facts you’ll be really really eugenics.

but if you use just emotions, you’ll lead to people dying because you’re like, enabling abuse.

so what. do i answer

@jolitl i mean i don't think there's much scientific backing for eugenics. like okay yea melanin is better if you don't want skin cancer but (again ignoring morality) if we try to "breed" melanin into population then we'd need to spend a lot of time and money on something that is solvable by giving people sunscreen

@jolitl

no. eugenics is objectively incorrect actually, it’s literally just an excuse to be racist and ableist while sounding scientific and if any eugenicist gave a single shit they’d quit and fight it for the rest of their life

… back to the point

feelings are a type of fact, that’s how i do this one at least. like planning a trip. i have to consider both the material realities of where we all live, and the emotional dependencies at play between us

so yeah im a facts kinda gal but maybe there’s a different way of thinking about this!
