here’s what i know:

this was one of the last posts, before the instance stopped responding that same day.

i can’t really find any public activity since then, since most accounts linked on their website have been deleted.

2024-12-07 my safety number with nano on Signal changed.

2025-03-25 they last logged into Hypixel, minecraft is one of the only accounts that wasn’t deleted that i’m aware of. (they changed the username and hid the old one on sites like namemc)

in the timespan of 2024-11-21 .. 2025-04-05, the domain nano.lgbt lapsed, between those dates, web.archive.org has no captures, but on 2025-04-05 it has a parking page (which doesn’t actually load? but the original response sets the parking_session cookie, which ?this vendor uses for domain parking, at least)

2025-05-23 i tried sending a message along the lines of “hey, whatever happened to you?”. never got a response, but it was delivered immediately

2025-08-03 (today) i sent another Signal message just to check if that’s still the case. it was also delivered immediately.

neither of those messages were read or responded to or acknowledged in any way other than being marked as “delivered”

i suppose the public story is supposed to be that nano killed themselves. that’s what they said on fedi. their domains have lapsed. they’re not responding to any messages on Signal

so like, i can’t prove that they still Exist. the only thing i know for sure is that their minecraft account was active for months, but isn’t any longer. so either it was used by someone else, or they at least didn’t kill themselves for another 3 months after they said they would.

and since they said suicide and i can’t find any activity, i would be satisfied to accept that as the conclusion

but their Signal is still active. it breathes. it can receive messages. as far as i’m aware, if all devices are cut off, it wouldn’t be marked as delivered.

so like, either:

• their phone is still on (it would’ve ran out of battery by now),
• or they left a desktop on somewhere, and the power to that machine is still on (what a sad ending? did the utility company not notice? why is the power still on? has nobody come to check in person?),
• or they’re still alive, and just ignoring me (fair; they don’t owe me a response)

yes, i’m vaguely aware of why nano was driven off fedi. something about flirting with minors. this post isn’t about that and i don’t care to discuss it. (sidenote: i was not a victim of this)

i’m just curious whether they’re okay. because i haven’t heard anything.

i just want closure. whatever happened to nano? are they alive?

it’s probably just as likely they wiped everything and started a new online identity… when you’re anonymous enough that’s almost indistinguishable from suicide I guess. morbid thoughts

i mean yeah. that’s what i would assume. that’s what i did assume, seeing the hypixel activity.

if i were in that situation, i would still keep hold of my domain name, at least so nobody impersonates my old me (whatever use that might be to them). in fact, i do still have a domain from a previous identity i used on the internet.

i vaguely recall nano.lgbt used to just refuse connections or something, but was still registered, so i assumed they kept hold of the domain but weren’t using it.

and then they stopped logging into hypixel.

and then the domain lapsed.

so now i have no evidence they still exist.

and then, today, i saw the initial posts saying they were gonna kill themselves.

the end of Hypixel activity can be explained as either they lost interest or they realized it could be traced back to them.

but why did the domain lapse? i don’t see why it would, unless they failed to pay (i mean yeah duh).

so either they’re broke and had to cancel the domain. (which is a sad ending; going into poverty)
or they’re dead, and their bank account was closed. (also a sad ending; the worst one perhaps)

so i’m just left, wondering, whatever happened to nano? are they alive?

nano is someone i saw on fedi. i know now, that the identity “nano” no longer exists. so the story is over. but how did it end? the Natural person behind “nano” may well continue into another life, and i don’t want to know the details if that’s the case.

the only thing i really want to know is how nano’s story ends. did they go into hiding? start a new identity? commit suicide? i wanna know this so i can give nano’s story closure. i crave closure.

i don’t want to track them down or deanonymize them or any such thing. i don’t wanna know the full answer if it’s intricate. i just want a surface level answer to the question of whatever happened to nano. are they alive?

yeah. it is. that’s precisely why i posted about this. i’m confident one of those things happened, and for some reason my brain can’t let me stop thinking about it without knowing which one it is.

@sodiboo i'm not gonna get into too much detail but what nano (allegedly) did was pretty bad. i don't know if i'd want to be alive if i did something like that and it came out.

@sodiboo even their friend, eeveeeuphoria, turned on them when she realized that it wasn't just people dogging on them for being an age regressor or something. i don't know really what to think about everything, still.

@sodiboo i their discord account is still there but i havent seen them active i think. their discord server is also still there, but essentially archived (had been a while before the drama started happening)

@sodiboo @cuddlebug Why would the domain not lapse? Why would you stop playing on your Minecraft account if you realize that that is trackable activity, but would then continue to pay for your domain? That would not make sense to me

There are two answers, & two only. One is true, one is not. You can’t exactly know which.

Either they were pushed off the edge, or they moved on with life elsewhere.

Neither is fair to ponder upon. & someone elses life, or lack thereof, isn’t other people’s business to discuss.

Best case scenario, you learn nothing new. Nobody in the know would tell you anyway. Worst case, you wind up putting a target on their back again. Getting someone hurt again.
