I recently visited the Next Level Pinball Museum in Hillsboro, Oregon, and not only is it massive and packed full to the brim with games, they also had a good handful of racing games, so I thought I'd do a video checking some of them out! Enjoy! :)
@fluttergirly oh btw, what are your favorite racing games?? is it easy to list a favorite?? are racing games like platformers where if you ask a casual they’ll probably give a few answers (most likely they’ll say the entire genre peaked at dkc tropical freeze) but if you ask an enthusiast they’ll have a long list of favorites and will love each one for different reasons??
@shroomie easy picks for me, TrackMania Turbo, Mini Car Racing, Ridge Racer 3D, Excite Truck/ExciteBots... those are my top favorites, and I think as runner ups I'll add in Ridge Racer Type 4, TrackMania Sunrise, and Cruis'n USA too
@fluttergirly would you mind talking a little bit about them? like, for example, trackmania turbo has a mixed rating on steam, which is weird for someones ‘favorite game’ lol
@shroomie oh yea, the reason for that is that it's a console-focused game, and therefore missing some of the usual PC-focused features the series usually has, so the PC audience just hates it on principal hdfghjk but I really really like it based on presentation and aesthetics, I think in those terms the game is just absolute racing perfection, it's exactly the vibes I love the most in a racing game :) and it's also still really great to play, the stuff its missing is really just customization features
@fluttergirly tbh, i would love to see a video of yours about your favorite racing games, as well as maybe a slightly less opinionated list of suggestions (such as an alternative to trackmania turbo for more pc-oriented people and such)
