This isn’t to say that we should sacrifice our ideals but we should really reflect and figure out a way to get people onboard with our ideas without using guilt as a lever

@julia telling people they should feel bad for existing is kinda the worst way to get them on your side, it’s better to frame it as things they can do to make the world a better place for everyone, imo

@julia been thinking about this a lot- some people are kinda beyond saving and are just hopelessly trapped in a right-wing spiral, but we could do a lot to prevent more people from landing in that position

@lizzy my point is that we shouldn’t shame people for things- we should help them come to an understanding that yeah, some things they might’ve been doing were wrong, and why doing otherwise is a net positive- rather than just telling them that they suck and should die like. That’s not how you get people on-board with your ideas.
