@breaadyboy I agree for the most part but there's always nuance, it depends how involved the LLM is in the process, really
Traceovers and copy-pasting art is unethical as well, that's been facts since before LLMs existed, looking at another's art just for reference and inspiration but making something totally original is generally better
Direct outputs of LLMs are always gonna be an identical plagiarism in one way or another
I think if techbros stopped asking LLMs just to do all of the writing of the code for them and instead used them as a "companion" for specific help with specific issues and didn't immediately pull any output directly into their project then that's a better way to use them, as a tool
People will always find a shortcut to success when success is rewarded based off the end product rather than the process

@breaadyboy i think that ai code definitely violates the gpl and probably like. so many other licenses. i don’t know why people in the FLOSS space would ever use it

the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
