I am so fucking ass at the Gabriel fight and I don’t know how to get better at it
Like, I try to use the tips the game and guides and stuff give Me, but it just doesn’t mesh well with My brain,,
@icantchangethisname SAME SAME SAME prey struggled so much on it,, in the end just ended up beating it by trying a lot of times and eventually getting lucky,,
probably helps to learn his attack patterns, prey thinks the fight either requires being really good at throwing spare change at him, or having good sustain (ie dodging attacks)
@ny yeagh,,, I managed to do p ranks on violent by having enough general mechanical skill built up ans then just kinda bashing My head against the wall till I did it, but can’t even get past him on brutal,,,
@ny something about the way he attacks is just so hard to dodge for Me,,
@icantchangethisname though, prey then got stuck on the v2 fight not that much later and hasnt played the game since >< soooo not sure its advice is any good! lol
@ny it should continue playing. The gayme is so good! it can also switch to a lower difficulty if it needs to. I beat the game on lenient first, cuz it was My first fps ever and hard damage was too difficult for Me to deal with, but then after that did a playthrough on standard and p ranked most of it and then did violent and p ranked all regular levels in it (before fraud came out, haven’t done those p rank yet) and am working on getting through brutal now :3
@ny My point with that being that the game is really good at getting the player to improve at it wnd that there’s no shame in turning down the difficulty
@ny like, I sucked turbo ass at it at first, but am pretty good now I think :3 (well kinda rusty now, but pretty good at My peak)
@ny amd that was mostly a pretty doable journey cuz the game is designed in such a way where it allows the player to get better at their own pace
@ny I love this gayme so fucking much,,
@icantchangethisname nod nod prey knows ultrakill is a great game,,
unfortunately not a big fan of lowering difficulty,, dunno why! from being in gamedev itself, it knows that often game designers build things with a specific challenge level in mind,, maybe that’s why! it struggled a loooot with celeste (and gave up twice lol) but never enabled assist mode – and beating it DID feel insanely rewarding!!
@ny that is fair, but as someone whos played through 3 difficulties in it and is working on My 4th, I do feel that the game is designed for all difficulties and to have the player turn up the difficulty when they are ready to do so. I also did still find it extremely satisfying to do things on higher difficulties too, maybe even moreso after having experienced the lower difficulties and seeing just how much I had improved from them :3
@icantchangethisname transfem who loves ultrakill (toy story meme)
Might try to just fight him parry only a bit to force Myself to actually focus on dodging and countering the attacks
But also that sounds hard and I have so many fun guns to shoot him with,,,
<- has not played ultrakill @icantchangethisname
@icantchangethisname play brutal forcerad , its the best way to learn trust me
