I saw some tourists from the US shopping at a supermarket a bit ago, and it's actually kinda wild how marked the difference is between them and the average Argentine shopper.
We saunter while we walk, hunched over like we're expecting some bullshit to blow up in our face, meanwhile the gringo walks with his head held high like a chicken, as if nothing could faze them. What a remarkable species.

@AppleAmps Are. Are we supposed to be afraid at the supermarket. Is something going to happen.

Yes! If you live in Latin America something's *always* gonna happen! That's how it works.

That "something" is usually just grocery prices being pornographically expensive relative to last month but y'know it's still something to be wary of!

@AppleAmps Usually the worst thing that happens at a US grocery store is someone getting busted for shoplifting if you're in a "bad" neighborhood or a middle-aged white lady yelling at a manager if you're in a "nice" one
