Y'know, I think my problem with I Saw The TV Glow is that I approached watching it like I would any other horror movie, and that kinda ruined it for me because as a horror movie it has two good scares and literally everything else is meh.

Maybe I should give it a rewatch, idk.

@AppleAmps approach it with the mindset that you don't know anything about it, you just heard it was a good trans thing and you're expecting her to be able to transition in the end and get the girl and then spend the last 40 minutes sobbing your eyes out while watching it with your partner like I did

@AppleAmps yeah i realized very quickly its not a horror movie,, the director in an interview even said β€œit’s not meant to be a horror film. if you want to call it one that’s fine, but it’s more about the experience im trying to tell than anything” in a few more words
