help with fedora's dnf package manager

hey is there any way to "pause" an update with dnf? i need to give the computer to someone else, someone who uses a different system on the same machine, and am in the middle of an update that's gonna take a while

i'm kinda tight on time so i'm just gonna ctrl + c and hope everything goes alright when i start dnf back up again

oh god i need help with my systems package manager (DNF), please someone anyone help

(read the above thread for context, it’s a light read i assure you,) okay so like i think i messed everything up, my system had some hiccups booting (which i didn’t document unfortunately), and now trying to continue the update with dnf is doing this, please god someone help

boost if you want to help but like, cant really help by yourself

@shroomie ctrl-z pauses any process, the fg command brings background processes to foreground

@rat well but like i shut my system down after pausing it so i’m kind of cooked
