The fact that SW ends with this, like, worst possible polycule arrangement is so fantastic, it's stunning. The three main characters reach homeostasis by all becoming subversions and betrayals of themselves, it's literally cute.

I know the author says it's open-ended on purpose but I 1000% interpret Trianon Serious Weakness as a trans woman. It's the perfect transition timeline, she goes from kidnapee to kidnapper and all it takes is losing the hairtie and trying on some skirts.
