like "my mind made all this up in my final dying moments and i'm just not aware of the fact i'm dying" makes more sense than the world we live in now and i don't know how to deal with that

I agree that Ashten seems quite creepy* but like, yeah I feel like a lot of the problems surrounding this infinimeta is how when people make callout posts against her they try to include every single thing they think of and end up making their more credible accusations seem dumb by proxy. Like, “ashten has a matrix server!” should not be in your list of allegations because it makes you seem like you’re grasping at straws to justify why you hate someone instead of actually calling out someone with an alleged history of enabling abuse.
(*and also if I didn’t I’d be going against most of my fedi circle so it’s advantageous for me to)

artemis@dice.campI'm definitely in a complaining mood today, which reminded me that my husband noted at Christmas that my sister's husband is hard to talk to because every line of conversation always seemed to lead to a complaint about some grievance.
So anyway, I may try to come up with some more positive things to say because...yeah, that's not my vibe. I mean, I complain *a lot* but try to make it less than constant. 😅

anyone know a way to watch youtube ad-free on a shitty "smart" TV?
whether that means (somehow) adblocking in the YouTube TV Client or using something that's a little more TV-Friendly in a browser is fine by me
note this is NOT an Android TV device, it's running some presumably proprietary OS by Hisense, it does however feature a (seemingly chromium-based) browser on-board
This is also not my television so I'd rather skip installing custom firmware altogether.

yesterday (dec 30th) i was kicked out of my parents' apartment, being left with the option to stay at their home under abusive conditions (20km away from the city, no meds).
i have somewhere to stay at for now, but since i'm unemployed, and need quite a bit to cover, financial help would be heavily appreciated.
