here's a thought experiment: imagine if the nostalgia critic put a completely sincere miscarriage scene in the middle of To Boldy Flee. imagine if we had to watch the Nostalgic Chick openly weeping. it would be maybe the worst thing on the internet.

like no matter what you think of Loss as a piece of art, it would have almost certainly been worse if were made by any of his gamer peers. it's kind of a miracle honestly.

i hate agreeing with hbomb because i'm annoying, but Loss *is* good. like it's a good piece of art. i think it's still okay to make fun of it, but as a concept, i think putting that into your webcomic about the xbox jokes is a profound choice. and it's genuinely effective, too.

It’s denying them their collective autonomy, in favor of policing who can use the word “misogyny,” bc us white folk usually don’t like admitting that most men are affected by misogyny because most men globally are not white, & as such, their identities are watered down by the patriarchy & deemed “wrongly” masculine.

So not only is the “trans men aren’t affected by misogyny” shit a complete fucking lie, because like, anyone who says that does NOT know any trans men personally oh my god— & like. It is simply not fucking true. All transphobia is rooted in misogyny, in some form or fashion.

And I do not get why folks get their panties in a bunch over trans men needing their own words to describe the transphobia they face. I swear to god it’s because they don’t wanna address their biases against queer men, that were formed because of their bad experiences with nonqueer men, or are projections of their own insecurity in their identity (feeling “not fem enough” & rejecting masculinity so hard that they end up externalizing said rejection.)

Transfems debating between each other what terminology transmascs should use to talk about their own struggles just comes off as disrespectful. Like if I, as a white-hispanic motherfucker, started policing what terms black people can use to describe their oppression I'd get fucking laughed at on the street! And rightly so!
