She/They/Fae
(Lenguaje femenino y neutro, porfa)
Peronist with Kicillofist characteristics
I'm 19 but still, don't be gross in my mentions.
My avatar is a pixel art bush with legs, tired eyes, and a rose on their head.
My banner is three girls from the anime Lucky Star talking.
Proud humanist.
All my posts have alt-text but some of my boosts don't, sorry!

(The edit to the Walking Bushie in my bio was done by @h@besties.house, check her out!)

Something I deeply enjoy is the kind of syntactic artifacting you get when you translate text into languages with very different rules. Like, stuff that has been translated from Chinese or Japanese into English has a specific flavor to it that's hard to describe but pretty obvious, and that's cool!

The interior design choices that most commonly infuriate me, possibly even more than anti-autism lighting and the Evangelical Christian aesthetic, are decorative objects meant to be percieved as having another function. Plastic plants in the cafe. Unused glass potion bottle on the bookshelf. When we visited one of the richer families at our church they had fake books you couldn't open on the shelves as well. Evil. Objects can only be beautiful in conjuction with their function. If it's for decoration, it should be designed for that purpose so you can strive for real beauty.

"The Fediverse is like email" was probably the worst way to explain it to anyone

Nobody likes using email

Well, actually nobody seems to like using the Fediverse too, so maybe that's accurate

Volcanoes are the classic go-to but recently I've started to see an uptick of fancy hotels.

They literally hate me for liking the Beatles' White Album. They're killing me with rocks over this.

By the way some context here is that despite being born in Argentina I learned to read and write in English *before* Spanish because my family moved around so much. So, y'know, that might explain some things.

I think it's a bit artistically dishonest for Papers, Please to be set in Eastern Europe. Not saying the USSR didn't do any bad shit but Lucas Pope's home country has border policy so draconian it influenced the nazis. The obvious choice for where to set this kind of game is the US.

it's important to have an editor who will prevent you from getting too far up your own ass

you need to remain exactly the right amount of up your own ass. it's a delicate balancing act as a writer.
