Like, despite the crimes I still believe that early ProJared, Jontron, PBG (though luckily he's innocent), and DYKG were some of the best content on Youtube for their time. Hell, I still get nostalgic thinking about PBG Hardcore.

Now that I've beat all of them this is my official Amps 3D Mario ranking. Mind you that while Sunshine is 9th it's still like an 8/10 in my books, this list just goes from "very good" to "the best games ever made."

Just finished reading Perdido Street Station by China Mieville and like, jesus christ, what the fuck was that ending? Ten morbillion pages of fascinating worldbuilding and setup for its characters culminating into a wet fart. Like, none of the characters save for arguably one experience any arcs, the setting doesn't change in any appreciable way, none of the goals anyone has at the start get reached. If the inciting incident and thus the story had never happened literally nothing would be materially different.

I don't get why people care that much about south-up maps, tbh. Like it's supposed to be this big evocative thing and yet, like, it's the same? If you think being on the top of the map makes a country more important that's a you problem, don't blame it on the map.
(I *do* think that most maps fuck over the southern hemisphere but that's because they make it look physically smaller, not because they should be rotated 180°)

I feel like more people should consider werewolf x vampire queer fiction because like, aside from it being cute the concept of werewolves, who only show their full self during full moons but are "normal" when the sun is out and vampires, who get to be who they are 100% of the time but can't ever step out into the sun maps out really well as an allegory for relationships between closeted and open queer people.

I really do think that being able to say things without saying them TO someone is the worst thing about social media.
Like irl all interactions are filtered through the fact that if you want to tell someone that being transfem makes you racist or being transmasc makes you misogynist or watching steven universe makes you hitler, you have to say it to someone's face and risk them looking at you in the eyes and going "dude... what?". You can't just shout stupid discourse into the void irl so a lot of people, arguably not enough people but still, get pressured out of engaging in that stuff because the risk of whoever you're talking to thinking you're being rude and antisocial is too great.

Just finished watching the first two episodes of Pluribus. First one is a fantastic pilot, it sets up the honestly super creative premise in a way that feels fresh yet never stops making sense. The second one is, uh, really really fucking bad, like first off it's racist, and second off the premise of the show is so evidently horrific that the idea that these people would just go along with it blindly without even having a difference of opinion or any holdups is fucking *insane*, like jesus fuck.

UFO 50's release felt like such an event dude, like I was following that shit for half a decade so when it came out and was exactly as good or even better than expected that shit was crazy. Hopefully something else'll come out some day that'll make me feel the same way.
