Los tallarines con salsa boloñesa deberían ser patrimonio de la humanidad. Es de esas comidas que no se comen, se disfrutan en un trance hipnótico hasta que terminás de comer.

Eeek. That might just work.

@asahi95 I don’t know how popular WhatsApp is in Japan but here in Spain everyone uses WhatsApp, it’s the main way of remote communication for everyone you may meet here so it is incredibly difficult to convice each and every person to not use it.

At least WhatsApp still keeps end-to-end communication

@asahi95
I still use Whatsapp because my irl friends are there, but I don't use either snapchat or instagram.

I know it would be hard for them to move to another chat service like Signal specially considering that they are not tech savvy

“We live under capitalism, and under that system, the effects of flooding the market with technologies that can plausibly perform the economic tasks of countless working people is not that those people are suddenly free to become philosophers and artists. It means that those people will find themselves staring into the abyss – with actual artists among the first to fall.”

@endali Probably Krita if you draw

Sometimes when speaking about pronunciation I will say “like in spanish” and possibly write it.

In those cases you can use this cheatsheet to understand what the IPA/English version is (When differences between EU and LA, refer to the EU section)

@miles If I’m speaking english, “Bye”, if speaking spanish, “Bee”

Calc-key

@asahi95 Because getting data from their users IS their business, their real clients are those in AdSense

A call to all app developers!

We want your help! While there is an official Calckey client in the works, we’d love to see more third party clients for Calckey start to be worked on! That’s why we’re putting out a $200 bounty for either an original Calckey app on your mobile platform of choice, or a $150 bounty adding Calckey support to your existing app.

There are some guidelines though:

• Uses the Calckey/Misskey API (https://calckey.social/api-doc), and implements basic features (including all timelines, quotes, reacts, explore, notifications, chats, bookmarks, channels, antennas/lists).

• Written in a language that compiles for your platform of choice (Kotlin/Java for Android, Swift for iOS. No React Native/Capacitor. Flutter is a maybe).

• Follows modern design guidelines for your platform of choice.

• Submitted to an App Store (Play Store or App Store. F-Droid is a bonus!) If you don’t have a developer license, we’ll also cover the cost of that.

• If you’re adding support for an existing app, it must have at least 10,000 downloads.

DM this account if you’re interested!

@asahi95 Material 1 also has cards AFAIK

@asahi95
Material 1 was the peak of modern design IMO

A friend literally said to me the other day "Why do you have 50 accounts on mastodon*?", " I get two follow request per week from you, I swear LMAO"

I guess being a distrohopper makes you also a potential fedihopper

*It was not mastodon which I migrated but, details
