@quasar not strictly, some components work under wayland as part of, well, porting it to wayland but proper support (although planned for the current 4.18) got pushed back to 4.20,
there isnt even consensus on what to do with the compositor besides that it should be wlroots based and maybe choosing an existing one (labwc being one thats used in testing and hikari has been proposed as an option)
